I can't really remember much of what happened on Day 3. I was really tired, and pretty much didn't leave the NICU. Because Aubrey's bleed had happened 15 minutes after I had left the room the night before, I had a superstitious feeling that if I left the NICU, something bad would happen to one of the girls. It just turned out to be a day where nothing good or bad happened (in other words, my superstition paid off, haha).
Andrea's mom flew into town that night, which Andrea really appreciated.
For some comic relief, while Andrea was pregnant she puked up blood one night. An advice nurse told her to go to the emergency room to get checked up. This is the reading material that the emergency department provided in the waiting room.
This made us feel better.
